Dr Shona FraserA Compassionate Approach to Counselling, Stress-management & Personal Well-being

Counselling, Stress Management and Personal Well-being in Muir of Ord

About what I do-

Counselling involves attentive listening to you, and your problematic situation. The 'listening' involves hearing what you say, how you say it and who you are in the story of the problem. The very nature of this will enable you to see your situation more clearly and help you find a way ahead that is right for you. I do this in a non-judgemental compassionate way so that, throughout the process, you will feel more empowered in your problematic situation and in your life.

Stress-management involves counselling skills to enable me to 'hear' your story around your stress and how it affects you. I then use different exercises along with my listening skills, to help you find better ways of supporting yourself in your life, leading to a greater sense of personal well-being.

Personal Well-being clients who come looking for ways of living a more meaningful life (according to their own sense of what is meaningful to them) will have access to all the above skills and I will introduce a more meditative way of 'being' and a more connected way of living with themselves and Life.

In reality although I have divided up these sections above the sessions can involve all three areas. I am skilled in bringing what is required, with your consent, to each session.
